Alfred Binet

Alfred Binet was a French psychologist who invented the first practical intelligence test, the BinetSimon scale. The French Ministry of Education asked Binet to find a way to identify children who were slow learners so they could be given remedial work . Along with his collaborator Thodore Simon, Binet published revisions of his intelligence scale in 1908 and 1911, the last appearing just before his death.
